Welcome to Tarot Spotlight, where I shine the light on our Biddy Tarot Community members who are making a real difference with Tarot as a guide.
In this post, I chat with Drahomira Gasparova, Tarot enthusiast and blogger.
While Drahomira received her first deck of Tarot cards when she was 8, it wasn't until she was 46 that she started to use them with more interest and commitment. Now, she's reading on our Free Tarot Readings platform and actively participating in the Biddy Tarot Community to build up her experience and knowledge.
Read on to discover how Drahomira uses Tarot for personal discovery and helping out friends and family to make important life decisions.
How did you first get into Tarot?
I came across Tarot de Marseilles when I was maybe 8 years old and I had trouble working it out, so I let it go. Many years passed, during which I did meditation, Pilates, astrology and other self-development workshops and finally during last summer I came across the Biddy Tarot courses. I was destined to learn it at 46 years of age. I’ve always had that urge to learn for magic, mysticism, astrology, Egyptology.
How do you use Tarot now?
I use Tarot as a free service for friends, and clients of the Biddy Tarot Free Tarot Reading service, and as a self-reflective tool for my own development. Studying Tarot helps me in looking for purpose, participating in my local community, and ultimately taking responsibility for my life–my achievements and mistakes, too. Once I used Tarot to learn about my broken car; it was fun, but also very spot on.
What steps did you take to learn to read Tarot?
I have taken online courses (Biddy Tarot, Doreen Virtue and Lisa Friderborg). The Biddy Tarot course kicked off my passion for Tarot. Lisa really helped me to get in touch with my intuition and enhance the quality of my readings by mixing tarot with oracle cards, using affirmations, and getting to know other realms, like the Angelic one. Doreen Virtue’s course helped me to continue building my confidence as tarot reader and, of course, by getting deeper into the angelic realm. I also stay in touch with like-minded people online, meditate and read not only Tarot related literature, but literature on religion, your life’s purpose, philosophy, positive thinking, crystals, angelic realms, karma, and metaphysics. Overall, my studies of the Tarot have changed my living and perception of life.
What was one of the biggest challenges you've faced learning Tarot?
I think it was learning how to combine the knowledge of Tarot with my intuition, particularly at the beginning when I didn’t know the meanings of the cards so well, thus I didn’t feel confident to follow my intuition either. I was always doubting myself about the meanings of the cards, and then listening less to my intuition. But the biggest challenge was to follow my intuition and write down everything, even it didn’t make sense or couldn’t be logically explained. I would say that the biggest challenge was to trust myself and have confidence in what I was doing.
What ONE thing made learning Tarot easy & joyful for you?
I enjoy exchanging opinions and experiences with people involved with Tarot. At beginning there were my classmates from Biddy Tarot courses, and later on I that included others on social media. Oh, I enjoy the synchronicity in Tarot, like having the same daily cards drawn with people I’m close to, or coming across an article related to my hot topic of the moment…simply seeing signs from the Universe and the cards and in my life.
Of course, a nice feedback from a client makes my day too.
What's one of your proudest moments as a Tarot reader?
It happened just recently; I was finally able to deliver messages with genuine and really personal details that only the client knew–you know, when you write about something that you as a reader couldn’t have known. It gives the reading legitimacy, and that detail seems like an proof of the existence of the Divine. It empowers the client and the reading at the same time, the client pays more attention to the message, and it is also a sign from the Universe that the seeker is important in this world and known to the Divine.

What's next for you when it comes to Tarot?
Well, after publishing this Tarot Spotlight interview I better do my blog for real! It has been just over one year for me reading the Tarot, I kept myself nice and safe in my shell like the Hermit, always doing Tarot and studying, looking at life through Tarot eyes. Now I am at the stage of taking a leap into Tarot world publicly. It is a challenge for me to become a public person, mentally and technically too. I am doing my little blog where I am learning how to use WordPress and gradually make it more attractive too.

About Drahomira
Tarot has become a part of my daily life, by not only reading for clients but also by changing my diet, doing meditations and prayers to embrace my intuition and hence be more authentic.
I am a single parent and a permanent student of life. I like to talk about big discoveries in my own little world, stay in touch with like-minded people and somehow find the energy to do all those necessary daily tasks necessary.
I believe that the power of the Tarot is within us, because the message from the cards can be manifested, or even changed by our free will. I believe that there is a purpose to the events we find ourselves in and Tarot can help and assist like a magnifying glass. Also I know that my interaction with others is ultimately my responsibility, and an opportunity to learn my own lessons as others have too. The power of Tarot is within us and I love that.
